Second Sight ReviewIn 2004 a game featuring the utilization of psionic powers was released. Something that (due to the explicit entertainment of this game) should have been developed as a PlayStation 2 game much earlier. This game was one of the best released at using the joypad to its sky high limit. It set a great example of what playing a PS2 game should feel like and was unfortunately passed by by many in the gaming world. But that doesn't matter, because this game wasn't Second Sight and was in fact its stunning superior: Psi-Ops.
Second Sight is the perfect example of a game that is totally unoriginal and should be entertaining. And with such a differing array of powers and it's quality developers why shouldn't it.
The fact is that Second Sight is just heaps of ideas from old titles crammed onto one disc and mashed into one story, which makes you feel like your repeating everything you've already seen. Though what it tries to do is make every single section of the game play different, exciting and new when it isn't.
Though the atmosphere is a lot like the Max Payne which is exactly what kills off mostly all that makes the game any decent.
But even if you don't enjoy the tweak needing gameplay you can still easily be sucked in by the intriguing storyline split into present and flashback which could lure anyone into playing this game to the end.
Not a game for those seeking gameplay brilliance, but definitely for those who want to have a great story.
And if this is why you choose the game here's a piece of friendly advice. Rent a film. This review was added on 11th August 2005 by Thomas jack jenkins. |
