Operation Flashpoint 2 is a military-action simulator featuring three different theatres of combat set in environments across south-east Asia, central Europe and Africa. The game's mission-based campaigns take gamers through fictional conflicts based on authentic events during the years around 1970.
An important part of the main campaign focuses on events from the Vietnam war in late 60s, when US forces in south Vietnam numbered over half a million. Players engage in solo action, command a squad, drive military vehicles or take to the air in authentic helicopters and planes.
