| The Leisure Suit Larry video game franchise began in 1987 with The Land of the Lounge Lizards, the first of seven games in the series. In Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude, Lovage starts as a pathetic loser enrolled at community college who spends most of his time in his dorm room, occasionally getting out on campus and trying to get together with some of the female members of the student body, unfortunately things always go horribly wrong. After hearing about a reality-TV dating show visiting his college campus, he resolves to revitalise his life and win.
