Silent Hunter III goes gold

Ubisoft announced yesterday that Silent Hunter III, the latest game in the PC submarine simulation series, has gone gold and will see a launch in America on 15th March.

Gamers assume the role of U-boat commander in a dynamic ocean environment set in the second world war. The game features a campaign mode that challenges players to work with their crew to hone their submarine tactics as they stalk, outmaneuver, and embark on realistic naval missions, such as hunting merchant ships and sinking enemy tonnage.

"We're thrilled to have reached this milestone in our development of Silent Hunter III and look forward to shipping the game to an eager submarine community," said Florin Boitor, producer, Ubisoft Romania. "The movie-like graphics and realistic atmosphere will both impress longtime fans of the Silent Hunter series and attract new players."
