Metal Slug Advances on European Stores

Date Set For The Newest Installment To SNK's Smash Hit Series

Monday 6 December 2004/... Metal Slug fans worth their salt will rejoice at the news that Metal Slug Advance has a confirmed release date for the Nintendo GBA, as Ignition Entertainment confirm that it will be available in stores from December 17th, and have a S.R.P. of £29.99

With a game experience tailored for the handheld console, Metal Slug Advance features a unique take on the arcade smash hit series. The same thrilling pace of action and frantic bullet dodging that are hallmarks of the series are still in place, but now the game is structured so that players can pick it up for a quick blast as well as embark on a marathon of comedic destruction. The introduction of an energy bar and free-roaming environments are also new to European gamers, and a card-collecting system and gallery for hostages rescued add extra depth and re-playability.

"Metal Slug Advance is a new slant on one of SNK's most loved games," says Peter Rollinson, Product Manager, Ignition Entertainment. "We're delighted to be able to bring this original and brand new instalment to the European public for the first time."

Gameplay features:

- A completely new instalment to the Metal Slug series.

- Collect over 100 different E-cards which enhance your character's ability.

- Keep a record of all the POWs you rescue in the hostage file.

- Five huge, gloriously detailed action-packed levels.

- Four secret dungeons to unlock.

Ignition Entertainment will release SNK PLAYMORE's Metal Slug Advance on December 17th 2004 exclusively for the Gameboy Advance, and it will carry a S.R.P. of £29.99
