08 December 2004 – Donkey Kong makes an eagerly anticipated return in this incredible platform adventure – using bongos! Grab a DK Bongos controller and guide Donkey Kong through wild jungle, snow and water brimming with enemies and challenging obstacles. Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, exclusively for Nintendo GameCube launches across Europe on 4th February 2005 and is available bundled with its own DK Bongos. Donkey Kong also swings into Europe on the same day in DK King of Swing for Game Boy Advance.

Donkey Kong has to brave the dangers of the jungle in this new adventure with lush 3D visuals. Whether battling enormous beasts, collecting bananas, taking part in boxing matches or riding around on parrots... - Donkey Kong has a lot in store in this bongo bashing bonanza.

Players play Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat using bongos - by tapping the left or right drum, tapping both drums together or clapping as each gives Donkey Kong a different move. By using these moves on the bongos, players will be able to run, jump, battle, swing from vines and collect bananas as they explore beautiful side-scrolling environments. Controlling the game using the bongos elevates this far beyond a regular platform game.

Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat is the second game that Nintendo has launched using the DK Bongos, the first being Donkey Konga which launched in October 2004. In this musical bonanza, players hit the specially designed bongo controllers in time to a selection of pop, rock, disco, jazz and classical tracks, progressing through the levels to become the ultimate king or queen of the bongos.

Both Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat and Donkey Konga are original and unique games from Nintendo for Nintendo GameCube, allowing players to experience videogames in a completely new and innovative way. It's fun to play and guarantees hours of fun.

Donkey Kong made his first appearance in the worldwide smash-hit arcade game Donkey Kong in 1981. He appeared in several arcade sequels after, and in the mid-nineties received new-found popularity in the successful Donkey Kong Country series of games on SNES. Donkey Kong has since appeared in many immensely popular games such as Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros., and more recently in the released Donkey Kong Country series as well as the brand new Mario vs. Donkey Kong game on Game Boy Advance. Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, complete with DK Bongos, launches across Europe on 4th February 2004 at the estimated retail price of around 60 Euros. Also launching across Europe on this day is another new Donkey Kong game, DK King of Swing for Game Boy Advance which will retail at the estimated price of around 40 Euros.

Donkey Konga for Nintendo GameCube comes bundled with DK Bongos and retails at the estimated price of around 60 Euros. Additional DK bongos can be purchased separately at the estimated retail price of around 30 Euros.
